Ralph McCutcheon
Director, Practitioner & Trainer
Ralph McCutcheon ND DO Bac is a complementary and alternative therapist who has gained, over his fifty year career in medicine, a wide and varied set of skills. Ralph was brought up by his parents as a vegetarian from birth, and was never exposed to ‘orthodox’ medicine. He has never had any medication or vaccines, until a recent brush with a pathological condition.

Born in Belfast and educated at Friends School, Lisburn, Ralph shocked his parents by leaving school at 16 to do an engineering apprenticeship. This then led to a few years as a marine engineer in the then famous Blue Funnel Line, where he got to see a lot of the world in the days before containerisation, when ships actually spent time in ports.

Ralph qualified at the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy in 1973, and started his own clinics in London and thereafter in Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire. He continued his training, adding Radionics, Acupuncture, Applied Kinesiology, EFT, TFT and NLP as time went by. He moved back to Northern Ireland in 1986 and, with his wife Tina, started Holywood Health Clinic. This has grown to include various therapists, including his son David, an osteopath.
The effectiveness of the above therapies is greatly improved when used together, and a new and refined blend of techniques has evolved over many years of clinical experience, which is now known as the MCC Method. This provides the flexibility to extend treatment to diagnose and treat the deep emotional and psychological triggers behind many health conditions. The goal of all alternative therapies is to find and remove the cause, and this therapy is very good at that.
Outside of the clinic, Ralph has a great interest in sailing, and more recently has acquired a motorbike after a 35 year break from them. He is currently preparing his autobiography, My Healing Life, for publication. He runs a weekly meditation group, and follows in his father’s footsteps by practicing yoga. He Has a deep interest in spiritual development, and has a team of spiritually gifted people associated with him and the clinic.
Paula Phillips
Director, Practitioner & Trainer
A native of County Antrim Northern Ireland, Paula Phillips has a broad range of training in various aspects of health management. She gained a BSc (Hons) in Sociology and then a post -grad in Business Management.
Her interest in helping others came to the fore and she qualified in Advanced Reflexology, Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming). She also became a Heart Math practitioner, gained as diploma in Advanced Systematic Kinesiology and more recently qualified as a Homeopath with the Institute of Practical Homeopathy.
Paula’s big breakthrough came with her discovery of Bio-resonance. She used this initially to help her handicapped infant son, and it was so successful that she partnered with Ralph McCutcheon to start Andromeda Metasystems Ltd, a company providing equipment and training in this exciting area of advanced medicine.
To round off the treatments with Bio-resonance, Paula began using some of Ralph’s unusual methods for relieving stress and trauma from both mind and body. She added her own skills, and thus the MCC Method was born.
Never one to let the grass grow under her feet, Paula is now completing her training in Chinese
Acupuncture with Acupuncture School Ireland.
David McCutcheon
BSc.Ost (Hons)
David is a second-generation practitioner of complementary medicine. Growing up in an environment of multidisciplinary healing made his eventual choice to study osteopathic medicine fairly obvious. After graduating from his studies in 2010, David worked briefly in Northern Ireland before moving to Toronto, Canada where he practiced at Islington Wellness Center. His stay in Toronto lasted 8 years in total with a short return to Northern Ireland in the middle.
Whilst he was abroad, he gained exposure to many different approaches to complementary therapies and treatment methodologies which shaped his own approach to some extent, often favouring a functional neurology-based model of treatment where no others are particularly indicated or expressly requested.
David is proficient at: Manipulative therapies, Myofascial Release, Cranio-sacral therapy, Dry Needling (Western acupuncture), and Applied Kinesiological muscle testing.
